Jonathan Mitchell is a seasoned business operations and transformation leader with over 15 years of experience delivering strategic impact for Fortune 500 organizations. He has led national readiness initiatives across digital, retail, and care channels, managing multimillion-dollar portfolios and enabling high-performance execution at scale.
Throughout his career, Jonathan has designed and executed tiered incentive programs that drive acquisition, activation, referrals, and retention across platforms serving over 40,000 monthly active users. His experience spans building high-volume incentive engines, defining eligibility rules, payout logic, thresholds, and controls, and wiring full workflows with automated tracking, reporting, and audit-ready documentation. He has also developed certification programs that increase adoption and quality, including curriculum design, enablement paths, and ongoing compliance supported by dashboards and scorecards.
With more than a decade of hands-on experience in tax preparation for both individuals and businesses, Jonathan brings a rare combination of enterprise-level operational expertise and deep, frontline knowledge of the tax industry. He co-founded GoRefer.io to solve the referral management challenges he witnessed firsthand, building a platform rooted in the real workflows of tax professionals.

Her career spans both the front lines of tax preparation and the strategic side of software and service delivery — giving her a rare, full-spectrum understanding of how tax businesses actually run. From managing client relationships and navigating compliance requirements to driving growth through software solutions, she has worked closely with tax professionals at every stage of their journey. Before co-founding GoRefer, she played key roles in account management and operations, where she helped streamline workflows, improve client experiences, and support preparers in scaling their businesses efficiently. Through this work, she saw firsthand the gaps in referral tracking, commission management, and intake processes that consistently slowed firms down.
That experience became the foundation for GoRefer — built with a clear mission: a platform designed by a tax professional, for tax professionals. One that eliminates administrative friction, simplifies compliance, and empowers firms to grow with confidence.
