Your Privacy Choices

This page explains the one way GoRefer.io LLC ("GoRefer") shares personal information for advertising, and how to opt out. We do not sell personal information.

What we share

We advertise GoRefer on Meta's platforms (Facebook and Instagram). To measure those ads, the Meta Pixel on this public marketing website and on our webinar pages at app.gorefer.io/webinar/ sends Meta identifiers from your browser and the pages you visit. When you register for a webinar, we also send Meta your email address, phone number and name in scrambled form. California law calls this "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, and some other states call it targeted advertising.

We never share information that tax firms store in GoRefer about their clients.

How to opt out

Use the form below, turn on Global Privacy Control, or email us. Any one of them is enough.

• Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser or with a browser extension. This website and our webinar pages honor it: when your browser sends the signal, the Meta Pixel does not load and we send Meta nothing about your visit. If you register for one of our webinars or send a form on a tax firm's page while the signal is on, we also save your choice for the email address and phone number you enter, so it holds on your other browsers and devices too. • Or email us at legal@gorefer.io with "Do not sell or share my information." Include the email address and phone number you used with us so we can apply your choice. You do not need an account, and we will not ask you to verify your identity for this request.
• You can also block the Pixel with your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker.

What happens after you opt out

Once your choice is saved with your email address or phone number:

• We stop sending Meta that email address and phone number, from our own pages and from forms on tax firms' pages on GoRefer.
• We stop telling Meta when you register for one of our webinars.
• We keep a record of your choice so we can keep honoring it. To change it, email legal@gorefer.io.

If you used the form, the Meta Pixel on this website also stays off in that browser.

Landing pages of tax firms

Tax firms that use GoRefer publish their own landing pages, at app.gorefer.io/p/ and at addresses ending in goreferme.to. Each firm controls its own advertising and analytics tags and its own privacy choices. Those tags do not load when your browser sends Global Privacy Control. For anything else about a firm's page, contact that firm.

Clients of tax firms

If you are a client of a tax firm that uses GoRefer, your firm decides how your information is used. Please send privacy requests to your firm. If you contact us, we will pass your request to your firm.

Your other rights

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information. Our Privacy Policy explains these rights and how to use them, or email us at legal@gorefer.io.
