Yes. AutoFill is in beta. The version on the Chrome Web Store today is 2.1.0. AutoFill helps with data entry only: it does not prepare, sign or e-file the return for you.

AutoFill helps with data entry. You, the preparer, are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying every entry and for signing and submitting the return.

The AutoFill beta works with supported professional tax software that runs in the browser. The panel shows whether the site you have open is supported. Lacerte, UltraTax CS and ATX are Windows desktop applications and are not supported by GoRefer AutoFill. Support is limited to the forms covered by the extension; a return can still contain items you must complete yourself.

Start Autofill enters your client’s reviewed intake into the supported forms on the return, for you to review. Fill this page enters it only into the form you are viewing. Either way, you review and verify every field, save your work in your tax software, and sign and submit the return yourself.

Start Autofill costs 35 credits for one client’s return in a tax year, and running it again on that return costs nothing more. Fill this page costs 5 credits a page, and page fills never cost more than 35 credits for one return: they count toward that return’s 35.

The panel lists the forms AutoFill entered data into, the items it couldn’t enter and the work that is always yours, with a reason for each. Read the reason and open the form. Every value still needs your review and verification.

The extension loads a client’s intake from GoRefer only for signed-in, authorized users, and the values it enters appear in the tax software you opened. See the extension privacy policy for what the extension stores and what it sends to GoRefer.

The extension includes an AI-assisted due diligence workspace for reviewing client facts, supporting documents and Form 8867-related questions. Generation depends on your account’s access and available credits. Review the draft and its evidence yourself; generation does not establish due diligence compliance.

Review with Gio reads a client’s intake, and the results of an autofill run when there is one, and returns advisory findings grouped as Might qualify, Watch out, Don’t forget and Check. Each finding explains itself, names the intake facts it is based on and cites its authority, and you acknowledge or dismiss it. Nothing is written to the return. To produce the review, the intake and fill results are sent to GoRefer’s AI provider (Microsoft). A review uses no Gio credits.

No. AutoFill is included with every GoRefer plan and uses GIO credits. There is no separate extension subscription and no free-fill allowance. Your account’s role, subscription access and available credits determine whether you can run a fill.

AutoFill runs in Google Chrome. The release on the Chrome Web Store today (2.1.0) requires Chrome 116 or later. There is no Firefox or Safari version.
